Two unsuspecting visitors to the site are startled when they discover the architect Anton Hölzl lying by the roadside. Beaten to death, as forensic expert Dr. Hartmann determines. Sophia and Jerry quickly realize that Hölzl—who became a conspiracy theorist during the pandemic—had made many enemies.

Even his own wife, Anne, had given up hope of a return to a normal relationship four weeks earlier. Hölzl's brother Mathias has his back against the wall at their shared architecture firm; Anton had driven clients away. His children, Benny and Lissy, harbor very different feelings toward their uncle—especially Benny, who deeply admired Anton. By contrast, local politician Laurenz Deubner saw the deceased activist as an obstacle on his path to becoming district administrator.

The death of a taxi driver is puzzling. Hans Lang was found by a mushroom picker on the side of the road in the forest next to his car. The last passenger on an unregistered trip killed him, as Dr. Hartmann diagnoses.

Johanna is sulking. She wanted to surprise Jerry with a wellness weekend for two, but he has already made plans to go climbing with a friend. That's why the news of the violent death of cheese factory boss Sebastian Wiese comes at such an inopportune moment. The young manager was stabbed to death. Cheese farmer Fonsi is kneeling at the scene of the crime with the possible murder weapon in his hand. The day before, Fonsi had been particularly vocal in the cheese farmers' dispute with Wiese over the new, worse contracts. Inspector Beissl likes him. Sophia and Jerry aren't the only ones wondering if their boss is now biased. Max takes his time with Fonsi's identification. The circle of suspects is growing. Almost every one of the 15 dairy farmers had a motive. The chairman of the dairy farmers' collective, Manuel Schwaiger, seems to have downright hated Wiese and regrets his investment in a new milk truck. Schwaiger's wife Alma is puzzled by anonymous calls to her worry hotline. It's a good thing that Schwaiger's colleague Peter Bichler is there to support the couple with advice and assistance. However, the analysis of Wiese's computer reveals a new lead that leaves his assistant Daniela Seidl struggling to explain. And then one evening, Jerry opens his door and can't believe his eyes...

Jerry Paulsen can hardly believe his eyes. He is actually investigating the murder of Karola Dörffler, director of the senior residence "Wohlfühloase," who was bludgeoned to death with the award statue "The Grey Lola," which she had received for the facility's excellent leisure program. But now the detective sees resident Rita Fischer sneaking into the victim's office with her handbag open. Is she trying to finish what the victim interrupted? The finances of the sprightly senior are apparently not in good shape.

Before Jerry can really put the pressure on her, however, she reveals several interesting details that could aid the investigation—because the circle of suspects is large.

Particular suspicion falls on nurse Donna Pérez, who, much to the annoyance of her superior Konrad Heuser, is trying to found a union. Or does the head of nursing himself have a motive? Jerry's colleague Sophia Strasser catches him arguing with the young trainee Shari Oduro. The young woman from Africa is under Donna Pérez's special protection.

And what role does the caretaker and hobby musician Wickerl Hammerschmied play? Thanks to his afternoon dance events, he has some explosive news for Jerry. Johanna also has something important to tell him—but Jerry is currently fighting a hopeless battle for clean dishes in his all-male flat share with Beissl.

Will the perpetrator be caught—and will things also turn out well at the Beissls'?

A climbing trip to the Grünstein proved fatal for Elisabeth. While Johanna is at home treating her mother's injured ankle, the Beissl family receives the news that the tour's mountain guide, internationally acclaimed climbing star Leon Stöhr, has been found dead. Dr. Hartmann determines beyond a doubt at the scene of the crime at the foot of the mountain that he was beaten to death. Sophia and Jerry's investigation quickly focuses on mountain filmmaker Maren Rieder. Contrary to her usual habits, she was not supposed to accompany the two climbing brothers Leon and Bastian on their prestigious US trip to Yosemite National Park and was very disappointed about this. Sophia also finds a headband in front of the Stöhrs' office. The dead man's brother, Bastian Stöhr, also seems suspicious. He obviously has something to hide. And when the brothers' climbing partner, Rupert Heckmair, reports a heated argument between the brothers, Sophia decides to observe the Stöhrs' house on her own. When she follows Bastian Stöhr to a lonely mountain hut, she gets a big surprise. She now urgently needs the help of Jerry and Beissl. Jerry dismisses her observation as a "pregnancy hallucination." But the next day, Johanna discovers traces of blood on a wheelbarrow in front of the center. When life coach and founder Mick Sontheimer fails to show up for work, Beissl, Sophia, and Jerry investigate. Max eventually finds Mick's buried body in the woods—stabbed to death, as Dr. Hartmann conclusively determines, before astonishing the investigators by demonstrating some flawless yoga exercises.

At the meditation center, the peaceful façade begins to crumble. Mick, who hosted a radio show in Berchtesgaden, had stolen the wife of radio technician Kai Arnold. Presenter Marie Doldinger provides Arnold—who left a threatening message on Mick's answering machine—with an alibi. Mick's coaching colleague Konstantin Wahler, who takes over his sessions, is under financial pressure: he paid heavily for his training but was only allowed to market Mick's program. Mick's current partner, sound bowl therapist Lisa Sterzel, on the other hand, appears genuinely distraught.

Johanna conducts her own investigation in a prenatal class and notices that another participant, Tamara Echternacht, is behaving suspiciously. But when Johanna uncovers her true identity, she suddenly finds herself in mortal danger. Jerry's instincts send him racing to the meditation center—just in time…

Luise Reitinger walks into the Berchtesgaden police station convinced of one thing: the message that her best friend and former colleague, paramedic Klara, supposedly sent from Kenya cannot be from her. Jerry quickly spots an inconsistency in the attached photo, and the federal police confirm that while Klara had booked a flight to Nairobi, she was not on board. Since no body has been found, Sophia, Jerry, and Beissl begin investigating within the emergency dispatch center's circle.

Why does Klara's colleague Ritschi only reluctantly admit that he was in a relationship with her until four weeks ago? What explains the bloodstains in Klara's apartment—and who wrote the alarming note reading "Murderer!"? Suspicion falls on the desperate father Toni Tretter, who blames the paramedics—station chief Bertha Heinze and paramedic Bruno Wichmann—for the accidental death of his daughter, claiming they took far too long to get her to the hospital.

When Klara's body is finally discovered in the woods and another message from her reaches Luise, it becomes clear that one of the suspects is playing a dangerous game. With the help of Franzi and Max, the investigators set a trap. But before it can snap shut, Jerry has to endure some gentle teasing from Johanna, who thinks his meticulously planned routes to the maternity ward are over the top. Then Johanna goes into labor—earlier and more intensely than expected—and suddenly even the best plan is useless.

Dark clouds hang over a tennis club near the Watzmann. Julia Feller, the newly elected chairwoman and an exceptional coach, lies motionless on the court. Cause of death: heart attack, according to Dr. Hartmann. However, an abnormally high level of adrenaline is found in her body, which—given her rare medical condition—led directly to her death. It soon becomes clear that the victim was poisoned. Motives are plentiful.

Julia's deputy, Simone Herzig, was jealous of her popularity and aware of her medical condition. Simone's son Kilian belonged to an elite training group set to be scouted internationally in Mallorca in just a few weeks. This group also included Valentina de Luca, daughter of Ernesto—Jerry and Johanna's favorite Italian restaurateur, who runs the restaurant on the club grounds. Ernesto, however, has little faith in his daughter's tennis ambitions—unlike her brother Francesco. The third talent, Lena Jackstedt, had every reason to be furious with Julia: her father, a sponsor of the tennis club, had recently left Lena's mother for Julia Feller.

Then an email with explosive content surfaces, which the victim had received shortly before her death. When forensics also find Kilian's fingerprints on the murder weapon, the case seems solved. But in this instance, nothing is as it first appears…

Meanwhile, Beissl is training Sophia's son Luis in the garden at home. The boy feels sidelined at his football club—good thing Beissl is a top-notch motivator.
