Ljubiša Samardžić (1936-2017), sometimes referred to as Smoki or Smoki Samardi, was a Serbian actor and director. Nowadays he is perhaps best known as Šurda in the Yugoslav TV series 'Vruć Vetar'. Born to the family of a coal miner, his acting talent was discovered very early and he won a scholarship with respected director Bojan Stupica. After graduating from the Belgrade Drama Arts Academy, he obtained a role in Igre na skelama (1961). Samardžić was a member of the Central Committee of Yugoslav Communist Party in late 1980s.

Borivoje "Bora" Todorović (born 5 November 1930 in Belgrade, Kingdom of Yugoslavia) is a Serbian actor. His sister is the famous actress, Mira Stupica, and father of Srđan Todorović. Bora Todorović has an extensive acting career, and has had roles in critically acclaimed Yugoslavian films such as Who's That Singing Over There (1980), The Marathon Family (1982), Balkan Express (1983), Balkanski Špijun (Balkan Spy, 1984), Time of the Gypsies (1988), and Underground (1995). Bora's father died during his childhood. Following secondary school, Bora completed army service, at which point he had no plans to pursue an acting career. However, his older sister Mira's passion for acting exposed him to the business and soon he became passionate about it as well. He enrolled in the Belgrade Drama Arts Academy, and eventually acted on stage at the Belgrade Drama Theatre. In 1957, Bora lived and acted in Zagreb, eventually returning to Belgrade in 1961. Between 1961 and 1983, Bora was a member of the "Atelje 212" theater in Belgrade, where he performed various roles. In October 2002, he appeared on the Zvezdara Theatre stage in Belgrade, in the play Larry Thompson. Bora Todorović now alternates residence between Prague and Belgrade. He is currently married to Carolyn Kilkka, with whom he has two children, Dana and Tara. Bora also has a child from his previous marriage to Snežana Matić. He died on July 7, 2014 after suffering a brain-stroke.

Ljubivoje "Ljuba" Tadić (Serbian Cyrillic: Љубивоје Тадић Љуба) (31 May 1929 — 28 October 2005) was a Serbian actor who enjoyed a reputation as one of the greatest names in the history of former Yugoslav cinema. He made his screen debut in 1953, but his first truly memorable role was in the 1957 film Nije bilo uzalud. In this film, like in many others, he played the villain, but he turned out to be the most memorable character. Later he built on this reputation and continued to play important historical and larger-than-life characters. He also made history by uttering an obscenity in one of the final scenes of 1964 World War I epic Marš na Drinu, which was the first such instance in the history of former Yugoslav cinema. Dragan Nikolić was a Serbian actor. He studied at Dramatic Arts Academy in Belgrade. In 1967 he starred in the film Kad budem mrtav i beo, which was the beginning of a career that lasted 50 years. Dragan Nikolić has since appeared in many films of different genres and portrayed various characters, becoming one of the most recognizable actors in Serbian cinema. In 2000, he received the "Pavle Vuisić" Award for his lifework. From 2011 to 2013, he was the television host on the Serbian edition of quiz Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. His best known role was as Prle, a wisecracking World War II resistance fighter whom he portrayed in 1970s TV series Otpisani and Povratak otpisanih.
