Mekhi Thira Phifer (born December 29, 1974) is an American actor. He is perhaps best known for his multi-year role as Dr. Greg Pratt on NBC's long-running medical drama ER and his co-starring role opposite Eminem in the feature film 8 Mile. He was a regular on the Fox crime show Lie to Me portraying the role of Ben Reynolds, before season 3. He was born in in Harlem, New York City, the son of Rhoda Phifer, a high school teacher; he grew up in a single-parent household with his mother. His acting career began in 1995, when Phifer attended an open casting call for director Spike Lee’s Clockers, beating over a thousand others to get the lead role as a narcotics dealer embroiled in a murder cover-up. He followed that role with another in the comedy spoof feature High School High (which also starred his former wife Malinda Williams) and continued by co-starring in the fright flick I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze, Jr. Among Phifer’s other big-screen credits are Soul Food, The Biography of Spud Webb, Hell’s Kitchen, NYC, Tears of a Clown, O (as the titular character Odin a.k.a. O), and the thriller Uninvited Guest (as Silk). He appeared in Impostor as well as Paid in Full, 8 Mile, opposite Eminem and Dawn of the Dead. Phifer has a son, Omikaye, with his ex-wife, actress Malinda Williams. His second son, Mekhi Thira Phifer Jr., was born to his girlfriend Oni Souratha in Los Angeles on October 30, 2007.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Merle Dandridge is a Japanese-American actress who was born in Okinawa, Japan. Dandridge is primarily a stage actress, but has had several roles in television. She has gained a wider audience as the voice of Alyx Vance in the award-winning action game Half-Life 2 and its sequels, Episode One, Episode Two. Her father was an African-American US serviceman from Memphis and her mother was a local Okinawan of Korean and Japanese descent. As well as Okinawa, Dandridge has lived in Sacramento, California, at Beale Air Force Base, and later at Offutt Air Force Base (home to the then-Strategic Air Command) in Bellevue, Nebraska, where she spent the majority of her childhood. She attended Papillion La Vista High School and participated in the play production class and theater department there. She then attended the Theatre Conservatory at Roosevelt University (currently called the Chicago College of Performing Arts) with a scholarship that she earned at the International Thespian Festival.

Tamisha Akbar (born April 17, 1970) professionally known as Tami Roman, is an American actress, reality television personality, model, and businesswoman. She first gained fame on The Real World: Los Angeles in 1993. During her time on The Real World: Los Angeles, Roman formed her own R&B girl group quartet called Reality. Roman herself was one of the four members and the rapper of the group as well. During the same time, the group signed a record contract with Mercury Records. In 1994, while still under contract with Mercury Records, Roman changed the group's name from Reality to Female. Also in 1994, she married NBA player Kenny Anderson and they have 2 children. They divorced by February 2001. Roman gained more fame as she appeared as the dealer on the 2001 revival of Card Sharks, and on several other shows, including an episode of One on One (season 3, episode 4) and BET’s original tv series, “the Parker’s”, as Dina (season 1, episode 14). After making cameo appearances and starring in supporting roles in various TV shows and films in the 1990s and 2000s, Roman became one of the main cast members and breakout stars of the reality series VH1's Basketball Wives in 2010. She was then cast on the Basketball Wives spinoff Basketball Wives: LA, starting with the fourth season in 2015. Roman appeared on two episodes of the CBS show Extant. Roman could also be heard on Tami Roman's Love Talk & Hot Jamz with advice columnist and rapper Willie D of the Geto Boys and Reggie Youngblood.
