Thure Lindhardt is a Danish actor, educated at the drama school at Odense Theater in 1998. Lindhardt was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Roskilde. At the age of 12, he got a part in Bille August's film Pelle the Conqueror. His breakthrough in Denmark came with his portrayal of a boy with autism in A Place Nearby, starring alongside Ghita Nørby. Since then, he has played parts in a variety of movies and series, including Into the Wild, Love in Thoughts, Sugar Rush, Princess, Rejseholdet, and Flame & Citron, a movie about the World War II resistance group Holger Danske, starring alongside Mads Mikkelsen. Most recently, he played a leading role as the young Swiss Guard Lieutenant Chartrand in the 2009 film Angels & Demons, directed by Ron Howard.

He has been in theatrical productions, in movies and on television in Finland, and is part of the theatre group Nya Rampen, based in Berlin, Germany. Bäck is a Swedish-speaking Finn. He married Brenda, a Mexican costume designer, in 2017. They had met during the production of Eisenstein in Guanajuato.

He has won Jussi Award (Finnish premier film industry award) for Best Actor three times in 2008, 2009 and 2015. Korpela graduated from Helsinki Theatre Academy in 1995. Korpela is also a nature conservationist, and specializes in the conservation of Finland's migratory fish populations and the Saimaa ringed seal in particular. He has published a book about fly fishing called 'Fly Fishing: Incredible Fly Fishing with Hissu & Tommi' together with actor Kari Hietalahti.
