Mulvey was born in New Zealand, and is of Maori and European heritage. His family moved to Sydney, Australia when he was eight years old. He is best known for his roles as Mark Moran on the popular Australian drama Underbelly, and as Bogdan 'Draz' Drazic in Heartbreak High. Mulvey attended Beacon Hill High School (New South Wales) along with other Heartbreak High cast members Jon Pollard and Alle Brunning. Mulvey was injured in a serious car accident in 2003, in a head-on collision at 100 km/h. He was trapped in the vehicle for almost an hour until he could be freed from the wreckage. The midsection of his face collapsed, an incision was made from ear to ear over the top of his scalp, his face "pulled down" and 17 titanium plates were then inserted to repair the fractures to his face and jaw. His left knee and ankle were badly fractured and he lost vision in one eye.

She guest-starred in Home and Away playing intern Dr. Marie during the "Hospital Stalker" storyline. She also starred in the final season of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World. She has done a television commercial for Lunesta (sleep aid drug) in the USA. She is in an Australian television commercial for Hahn Super Dry. In 2009 she starred in the thriller The Dinner Party. He finished his education at Newington College in 1991 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in drama and sociology, from the University of Newcastle. He has an older brother, Mark, and an older sister, Pip. Jeremy is very close to his family. He is known for his long-running role as Kurt Peterson in Heartbreak High. Since then he has appeared in Something in the Air, McLeod's Daughters, Stingers and Blue Heelers. In 2006, he guest-starred in the Doctor Who audio adventure The Reaping. Taylor appeared in the feature films Tom White and Em4Jay and Bad Bush. His theatre credits include the Melbourne Theatre Company's Take Me Out. Taylor joined the cast of Canal Road in Series 1, Episode 9 as Cain Harvey in 2008. In 2009, he appeared the UK.TV mini-series False Witness. In 2007, Taylor co-starred with Lisa McCune, Ian Stenlake, Saskia Burmeister, John Batchelor, Matt Holmes, Jay Ryan, Kristian Schmid, Kirsty Lee Allan, and David Lyons in the hit Australian drama Sea Patrol. He portrayed Petty Officer Pete Tomaszewski "Buffer" in 39 episodes from 2007–2009.
