Kim Nam-joon, known professionally as RM (formerly Rap Monster), is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer under Big Hit Music. He is the leader of the boy group BTS. Born in Seoul and raised in Ilsan, RM began his music career in the underground Korean hip-hop scene as a teenager, going by the name Runch Randa. He joined Big Hit in 2010, and debuted as part of BTS in June 2013. RM released his first solo mixtape, RM, in 2015, followed by his second mixtape, mono, in 2018. The latter became the highest-charting album by a Korean solo artist in the US in history when it peaked at number 26 on the Billboard 200. He made his official solo debut in 2022, with the release of his studio album Indigo, which featured contributions from various artists including Erykah Badu and Anderson Paak. It peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200, becoming the highest-charting album by a Korean solo artist of all-time. In 2024, he experimented with alternative music on his sophomore album Right Place, Wrong Person, which peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200 and garnered critical acclaim. RM has also collaborated with artists such as Warren G, Krizz Kaliko, MFBTY, Primary, Gaeko, Wale, Fall Out Boy, Younha, Megan Thee Stallion, Tablo, and Lil Nas X. In 2018, he was awarded the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea, along with the other members of BTS, for his contributions to Korean culture. Kim Seok-jin, known professionally as Jin, is a South Korean singer and songwriter under Big Hit Music. He is a member of the boy group BTS. Jin has released three self-composed digital singles, Tonight (2019), Abyss (2020) and Super Tuna (2021). He made his official debut as a solo artist in 2022, with the release of the single The Astronaut. In October 2024, Jin released an extended version of his 2021 single Super Tuna, along with a new music video. The following month, he released his debut mini album, Happy, which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard World Albums chart and number 4 on Billboard 200. In 2025, Jin released his second album, Echo, which charted at number 3 on Billboard 200. That same year, he embarked on his first solo concert tour, the RunSeokjin Ep. Tour. Min Yoon-gi, known professionally as SUGA and Agust D, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer under Big Hit Music. He is a member of the boy group BTS. His first solo mixtape, Agust D, was released in 2016 and re-released in 2018 to digital download and streaming platforms, reaching number 3 on Billboard's World Albums Chart. In 2020, he released his second mixtape, D-2, which peaked at number 11 on the US Billboard 200, number 7 on the UK Albums Chart, and number 2 on Australia's ARIA Album Chart. SUGA released his debut solo album, D-Day, in 2023. It debuted at number 2 on the US Billboard 200, tying him with BTS bandmate Jimin as the highest-charting South Korean solo artists of all time. Jung Ho-seok, known professionally as j-hope, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and dancer under Big Hit Music. He is a member of the boy group BTS. j-hope released his first solo mixtape, Hope World, in 2018. It was received positively by critics and peaked at number 38 on the US Billboard 200, the highest-charting album by a Korean solo artist at the time. He became the first member of BTS to enter the Billboard Hot 100 as a soloist in 2019, when his single Chicken Noodle Soup, featuring singer Becky G, debuted at number 81. Park Ji-min, known mononymously as Jimin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and dancer under Big Hit Music. He is a member of the boy group BTS. Jimin has released two self-composed digital singles, Promise in 2018 and Christmas Love in 2020. He released his debut solo album, Face, in 2023, which debuted at number 1 in South Korea and Japan and number 2 on the US Billboard 200, making him the highest-charting Korean solo artist on the latter chart. The album's single Like Crazy became the first song by a Korean soloist to debut at number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in history. Jimin also became the first Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Artist 100 chart. Kim Tae-hyung, known professionally as V, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and actor under Big Hit Music. He is a member of the boy group BTS. V has released two self-composed digital singles, Scenery and Winter Bear, in 2019. In 2023, he made his official debut as a solo artist with the release of the singles Love Me Again and Rainy Days. His debut solo mini album, Layover, was released on September 8, accompanied by a third single, Slow Dancing. The album debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200, tying V with bandmates Jimin and SUGA as the highest-charting Korean solo artists in chart history. Outside of his music projects, V had his acting debut in 2016 with a supporting role in the television series Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth. Jeon Jung-kook, known professionally as Jung Kook, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and record producer under Big Hit Music. He is the maknae of the boy group BTS. Jung Kook has released two self-produced digital singles, Still With You in 2020 and My You in 2022. In 2022, he featured on American singer Charlie Puth's single Left and Right, which peaked at number 22 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Later that year, Jung Kook became the first South Korean artist to release an official song for the FIFA World Cup Soundtrack with Dreamers, which he subsequently performed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony. In 2023, Jung Kook released his debut solo single Seven featuring Latto, which broke numerous chart and streaming records.
